IPZ-56 Woven Wire Mesh as Decorative Ceiling Feature

Sancroft Building – London, UK

In the heart of London’s lively Paternoster Square, the Sancroft Building is a perfect example of how old-world charm and modern design can come together beautifully. This charming venue was brought to life through a creative partnership between architects at Woods Bagot and Amron Architectural,  Banker Wire’s representative in the UK.

The interior design of the Sancroft Building’s bar area is a masterclass in understated drama. At first glance, the space feels calm and composed, with a palette of soft neutrals and clean lines. But then your eyes are drawn upward—to the ceiling feature wrapped in decorative wire mesh that seems to float above the bar like a halo. The Banker IPZ-56 woven wire mesh offers an elegant look with its mixture of stainless steel and bare bronze weave. The architectural wire mesh is mounted in a powder-coated frame to accentuate the bronze highlights of the mesh. This ceiling feature doesn’t just divide space; it defines it, casting intricate shadows and reflecting light in a way that makes the entire room feel alive.

The wire mesh adds a tactile richness that contrasts beautifully with the surrounding smooth surfaces. The mesh acts like a piece of jewelry for the bar area: subtle, elegant, and impossible to ignore. It invites you to look closer, to notice the details, to appreciate the interplay between structure and softness.

What truly sets this design apart is its ability to balance function with artistry. The IPZ-56 wire mesh isn’t just decorative—it’s a working part of the space, yet it’s treated with the same care as a gallery installation. This thoughtful layering of materials and textures creates a space that feels curated rather than constructed. It’s a place where every element has a purpose, and every detail tells a story of refinement, restraint, and quiet confidence.
