St. Louis CITY SC will be debuting as Major League Soccer’s 29th franchise in 2023. The club will play at the newly renamed CITYPARK, an open-air facility in the Downtown West District with a one-of-a-kind view of the playing field. Trex Commercial engineered and installed more than 17,000 linear feet of custom railing, drink rail, and guardrail with wire mesh and glass infill to ensure safe access for supporters. In addition, the Banker Wire WDZ-615 welded wire mesh is featured in several aspects of these fixtures to keep the fans safe while adding to the exciting environment of the game.
This 22,500-seat stadium, which will host its first match in early 2023, is the anchor of a 31-acre development that includes team offices, training facilities, space for hosting year-round community events, concerts, and other outdoor activities. As a result, CITY will be one of the few U.S.-based teams in all professional sports and the only MLS club to have its stadium, team headquarters, training and performance center, and practice fields in one centralized downtown location.
