A Chicago-based law office recently renovated a space crafted to provide a comfortable environment for employees and guests within a vertically integrated layout that seamlessly connects all floors. The office fosters a vibrant, commute-worthy ecosystem that prioritizes productivity and well-being, enabling employees to thrive.
The offices covering 26 floors of a downtown high-rise are bathed in natural light and boast stunning views of Lake Michigan. Most floors are dedicated to workspaces, while several are designed for amenities and conferences. Each staircase is illuminated by elongated blown-glass pendant fixtures and distinct handrail lighting, connecting six floors simultaneously. These staircases feature the Banker SJD-21 decorative wire mesh, adding texture and elegance to the staircases.
As one of the centerpieces of the space, the staircases feature the SJD-21 architectural wire mesh in an antique brass finish. This unique feature adds a touch of sophistication and serves as a functional piece of art, seamlessly integrating into the overall design. The woven wire mesh's chaotic pattern and warm brass tones create a striking contrast against the clean lines and minimalistic design of the surrounding elements.
One of the standout features of this office is its abundant natural light. Large windows allow sunlight to flood the space, enhancing the open and airy feel. The use of the SJD-21 woven wire mesh allows the natural light to flow through the space while still providing a sense of security. The thoughtful layout maximizes the use of open spaces, ensuring that the office remains functional while maintaining its aesthetic appeal. The decorative wire mesh was also used to tie in the design with fireplaces and wall cladding located in lounges. Designers took advantage of the versatility of the wire mesh to bring consistency throughout the office design.
The integration of the Banker SJD-21 decorative wire mesh in the staircases of this Chicago-based law office not only adds a touch of sophistication but also enhances the overall aesthetic and functionality of the space. The plated antique brass finish and intricate wire mesh pattern create a striking visual contrast against the clean, minimalistic interior design, allowing natural light to permeate the office. This renovation's seamless blend of form and function highlights the firm's commitment to creating a workspace that prioritizes well-being and productivity.
