Entrance to Office Reimagined with Combination of Bold Finishes
Prominent Building Draws Inspiration from Unique Woven Wire Mesh
MUKWONAGO, WI — SEPTEMBER 27, 2017 — The 165 Fleet Street office, situated on the iconic street in London, underwent a recent renovation of the building’s entrance to provide a discernable presence from street level. London-based Resonate Interior Architecture was challenged by Aberdeen Asset Management to design a warm and welcoming environment in the reception area that was modern and would suit the building’s multiple tenants of the building.
Resonate tapped Amron Associates, the UK representative for Banker Wire—a manufacturing partner for woven and welded wire mesh, to find the most suitable woven wire mesh pattern for wall cladding in the reception area. With the architect’s vision clearly in mind, Amron Associates suggested Banker Wire’s SZ-4 wire mesh pattern for its unique copper and stainless steel configuration, which would complement the scheme in the repetition perfectly. Raven Project Metals, a local fabricator, mounted the copper and stainless steel SZ-4 to the wall by trapping it behind a sheet of glass and a custom manufactured angle frame.
“Banker Wire offers architectural woven wire mesh solutions that create a warm and welcoming presence to commercial interiors” said Harrison Horan, Vice President of Banker Wire. “Our products embody our commitment to providing the widest variety of woven and welded mesh at an unbeatable value.”
The original entrance of 165 Fleet Street office appeared outdated, dark, and uninviting from the bustling Fleet Street, according to Resonate Interior Architecture. The newly revamped entrance offers an aesthetically-pleasing interior space with a dramatic touch thanks to a combination of copper and stainless steel finishes from Banker Wire’s SZ-4 wire mesh pattern. The delicate appearance of the wire mesh lends a subtle detail to the space.
Stainless melded with bronze-aged copper, round wire melded with flat, the SZ-4 wire mesh pattern uses modern technology to create a weave, in which the colors and patterns change in appearance depending on the viewer’s angle. This durable, multipurpose fabric is an excellent choice for canopies, divider screens and railing infill panels. The SZ-4 wire mesh pattern is available in combinations of bronze, stainless steel, copper or brass.

About Architectural Woven Wire Mesh
Pre-crimped woven wire mesh is constructed of individual wires that are crimped prior to being woven together on a loom. This allows for far more intricate and interesting patterns, as well as unique customization, to meet the vision of the designer. Banker Wire has refined and innovated its crimping process more than any other manufacturer, delivering more than 8,000 different spacing, diameter, and crimp combinations, plus endless customization options.
