Banker Wire's L-441 in bronze is used in a diamond orientation as bar cladding for the Red and White Club.

The newly renovated Red and White Club sits overlooking the football field in the McMahon Stadium at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Gracing the capacity of this beautiful club area are the capabilities that it has to host up to 900 people or be separating into smaller capacity room set-ups accommodating a range of purposes. This is due to the large windows that let in sunlight and illuminate the area, generating warmth. The color scheme of this room is actually quite neutral, with shades of white and gray, while the rich and warm tones of wood emanate from the flooring. Furniture has clean lines and minimalist designs that are sleekly modern, all adding to the elegance of the space.

One of the outstanding features in this interior is the use of wire mesh in their furniture. It is applied on different furniture—from chairs to tables—and gives character and an industrial feel to interior decoration. Banker Wire's L-441 in bronze was used as cladding on both bar areas in the Red and White Club. In diamond orientation, the brass L-441 brings a touch of warm flair to the overall cool-toned design of the club. L-441 is a small-scale lock crimp pattern that can be woven in a wide variety of alloys. Its larger percent open area makes it possible for the wood to shine through the openings. The wire mesh does excellent work in contrast to the solid, soft surfaces and fabrics, bringing out the well-balanced outlook.

The wire mesh elements are used not just on the furniture design but also on lighting and other decorative panels. In a nutshell, these elements provided the design with a connected flow, making thematic coherence within the space. The interior design developed from the conjunction of modern design, natural material, and wire mesh gives off a stylish and functional result for a contemporary setting.
